Blue
Lodge
 |
The
Blue Lodge is the beginning of Masonry. It is the
foundation on which all other Masonic organizations are built.
Membership is essential and required here before petitioning
other Masonic organizations. |

Scottish
Rite
 |
The
Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry is often
referred to as the University of Freemasonry. The
twenty-nine degrees of this Rite amplify those of the Blue Lodge
by offering a broader and deeper geographical, historical,
philosophical, and spiritual connotation drawn from the greatest
teachings of antiquity. |

York
Rite
 |
The
York Rite builds on the degrees of the Blue Lodge. It
consists of three separate organizations, the Chapter of Royal
Arch Masons, the Council of Royal and Select Masters and the
Commandery of Knights Templar. |

High Twelve
 |
A
social and informational organization open to Master Masons in
good standing. It usually meets at noon for lunch and a
program of community or Masonic interest. |

|
Eastern Star
 |
The
Order of the Eastern Star is the largest fraternal organization
in the world open to both men and women. Qualifications
for membership include a belief in a Supreme Being and a family
relationship to a Mason or a member of the Star for ladies,
while a male applicant must be a Master Mason in good standing. |

|
Shrine
 |
The
Shrine is a fraternity that grew out of Freemasonry in the late
19th Century. Originally envisioned to be the
"Playground of Masonry," it soon realized the need to
focus on philanthropy, and, as a result, in 1923 the first of 22
Shriners' Hospitals for Children was opened in Shreveport,
Louisiana. |

Rainbow
Girls
 |
The
Order of the Rainbow for Girls is a character building and
service organization for girls between the ages of 11 and 20
sponsored by Masons, Eastern Star or Amaranth. |
