About
the Masonic Research Network?
Welcome
to the Masonic Research Network (MRN). The Sioux City
Scottish Rite Valley of the Ancient & Accepted Scottish Rite
of Freemasonry, S.J., is proud to use contemporary technologies to
assist individuals in furthering their “Masonic Light.”
In the Summer of 2007, the Valley implemented the Masonic Research
Network as a means for delivering Masonic education via the
internet to stimulate a growing interest in the fraternity.
The MRN is an internet social networkig community dedicated to
renewing interest in esoteric, philosophical, and symbolic
teachings among the Masonic fraternity. As a member of the
MRN, you will have access to a variety of valuable features
including Masonic publications from various sources. Members
also gain the ability to join one another in discussing the merits
of each publication presented. If this is not enough,
members also have the ability to become a MRN contributor by
posting their own articles.
The state of Iowa has long been preeminent in Masonic education,
it being the home of The National Masonic Research Society
(1915–1932), the Masonic Service Association of North America
(1918–present) and the Grand Lodge of Iowa Library located in
Cedar Rapids, Iowa. It is our desire to continue this tradition.
The
MRN is not limited to the following features:
